Volunteer Experience

Poll Manager, Charleston County Board of Elections (November 2021-Present)

I’ve served as a poll manager in November 2021 municipal, June 2022 statewide primary and runoffs, and 2024 statewide and presidential primaries, as well as the 2024 general elections.

I completed 7 hours of online/in-person/hybrid training for each election, recently passing the required training with a score of 94/100.

I am also familiar with election filing requirements, costs, and procedures, as well as federal fundraising guidelines and limits.

Communications Coordinator, Veterans Day 5K at Hampton Park (August 2023-Present)

I serve as one of the race directors of the Veterans Day 5K at Hampton Park in Charleston, SC.

We're the area's only Veteran's Day 5K, and proceeds benefit the Ralph H. Johnson VA Food Bank, Lowcountry Veterans Organization, and the Col. Tom O'Donnell Scholarship Fund.

As Communications Coordinator, I manage social media, recruit sponsors, take race photos, and coordinate race day plans, including a run of show.

Social Media & Marketing, Charleston Running Club (May 2019-Present)

As the Social Media/Marketing secretary, I telling the Charleston Running Club’s story.

I manage our Facebook and Instagram accounts, which includes scheduling and proofreading posts, graphics, videos, copywriting, and responding to comments and messages.

I also maintain our organization’s website and member management system using Wix, as well as performing secretarial duties such as writing and distributing board meeting minutes within three days of meetings.

For our three club races (Charlie Post Classic, Floppin’ Flounder, and James Island Connector Run), I use RunSignUp to write, edit, and send marketing emails, as well as recruiting and communicating with event sponsors.

I create all branded promotional materials for races, group runs, discounts, events, and fundraisers using Canva and/or SnagIt, and I also represent the club at race expos and events.
