ACS Financial Suite Year-End Help

ACS Financial Suite is a comprehensive, double-entry accounting system designed specifically for churches and nonprofits to manage finances, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and budgeting. It integrates with member contribution data to streamline tracking, reporting, and fund accounting.

I maintained the ACS Year-End Guide tax procedures from 2010 to 2012, then from 2016-2025, including documenting federal and state tax updates.

I rewrote the documentation after a major software build in 2010, and in 2024-2025, converted the print-based PDF help to DITA XML for reuse, searchability, and AI optimization.

I also updated yearly procedures for the Parochial Report as required by the General Convention of the Episcopal Church and documented electronically filing Forms 1099s, 1095s, or W-2.

In 2021, I adapted all documentation files to DITA using Heretto’s DITA-based CCMS in order to reuse them for various financial products.
